Hey all, I'm Afek. My project started as a way to put the opposites I live with into sound: the organic against the mechanical, something acoustic sitting right next to something synthetic. I play piano, I produce, and I travel, and most of what I make comes out of that constant movement between places and states of mind.

I build tracks out of contrast. Field recordings next to sounds I designed from scratch, live instruments next to machines. I spend most of my time on sound design and on the space a track lives in, because I'd rather a piece feel like somewhere than like a genre. I move between Psy-Dub, Psy-Bass, 140 and Drum & Bass, but it always stays earthy and psychedelic at the root.

Over the years the music has found homes on labels I really respect: Merkaba Music (AU), Shanti Planti (UK) and The Gradient Perspective (US).
